Did you know that the YMCA is a charitable organization? Often overlooked as a “charity”, your YMCA provides financial assistance to hundreds of individuals – children, adults, seniors – to participate in life-changing programs. In keeping with our mission, we turn no one away due to financial reasons. Called the “Strong Kids Campaign”, our annual campaign provides us with critical funds to help us continue our mission in Dodge County.
What does your YMCA mean to you? For many adults, the Y has played a huge role in improving or continuing their overall health. For children, the Y represents a safe and fun place where they are taught more than a sport, they are taught basics that can help them become responsible citizens of tomorrow.
There are hundreds in our community who cannot afford the standard dues and fees and benefit from the Strong Kids Campaign. Through Strong Kids, a man can have access to lower his cholesterol, a woman can have a chance to lose weight, a tween can learn basic fitness skills and gain self-esteem, a child can have hot meals and learn their "a, b, c's", and a baby can have safe, nurturing care held in loving arms while their parent works.
The Annual Campaign is not only essential in raising awareness and funding for the Strong Kids financial assistance program, but vital in helping us financially sustain programs and be fiscally responsible. Donations do not need to be paid in their entirety - pledges are accepted - but your pledges help us plan for the rest of the year.
Throughout the year you will see various fundraisers or ways you can contribute to our Strong Kids Campaign. If you have purchased an ornament, bought a Community Day coupon booklet or other, thank you!! These are the many little ways that you can help us continue to supplement our Strong Kids funding as the year progresses. At this time, we would ask that you consider a contribution to our Annual Strong Kids Campaign. Click here to donate online now.
