Y-Care school age child care
Offered at various locations throughout Beaver Dam, the Y offers a before and after school program for K through 5th grade. Held within the school, chidren participate in craft, games and free playtime. Breakfast available for AM participants and after school snack offered for PM participants.
Sites open at 6:30 am and close at 5:45 pm. This program offers the choice of how many days of the week, and which session (AM, PM, or both) your child(ren) need to be enrollled for. Number of days/week and AM/PM session(s) are set at the time of enrollment for the entire school year.
Site availability is based on need, so sites may be added or closed as needed. A minimum of 8 daily attending children must be enrolled to maintain any site. Sites that do not maintain 8 participants will be given a 2 week notice before closing. The School Age Director will inform you of which school site your child will attend if care is not offered at your child’s school. Sites include Wilson, Washington, Prairie View, and St. Katharine Drexel.
Bussing is available:
AM only - For children attending Jefferson, Lincoln, South Beaver Dam and Trenton (from Wilson & Prairie View Y-Care sites).
PM only - From Jefferson and Lincoln to Wilson Y-Care site.
There is an additional $5 per week, per family bus fee for children that are transported from and to their Y-Care sites.
To register, complete and submit a registration packet with a $30 non-refundable registration fee per child (family max $50). Packets are available at the Welcome Center. Registration is accepted on a first come basis; a processing time of 3 business days from the time registration is received before children can start the program. Enrollment is limited.
